The 2018 International Taipei Maestro Piano Festival will take place at the Music Department of the National Taiwan Normal University from January 22 - February 1 2018. There will be lessons and lectures taught from world renowned artists, with 6 concerts plus Star Concert Pianist Competition at the end. All the activities will not only take place at the beautiful campus of the NTNU but also at the Eslite Performance Hall where the "All Star Faculty Concert" will take place.
The National Taiwan Normal University is located at the City Centre of Taipei, next to the colourful Shi-Da night market, and the elegant urbane Yong-Kang district. You can also walk within 20 minutes from the NTNU to the National Performing Arts Centre: National Concert/Recital Hall. It's the best location for young artists to thrive and appreciate concerts, opera and performing arts. There will also be more then 24 grand piano practice rooms reserved for all the participants during the entire festival. The festival is opened worldwide for all the musicians to apply now online, no age limit. No matter if you are general publics, music lovers, or musicians, you are all more then welcome to join us as passive auditors, as volunteers, or as sponsors. Master Classes and LecturersIn the compact week of the festival, there will not only be lessons with world renowned artists teaching all the active participants, we also have lectures and translators helping all the audience and participants to have a wonderful musical experience in Taipei.

Star Concert Pianist CompetitionThe participants of the festival don't just experience wonderful lessons and lectures but they get to perform and get opportunities to jump on the international performing stage!
At the final days of the festival there is the star concert pianist competition. All the students in the category A will be performing their final concert before the festival ends. Their performance is at the same time their competition. The winner of the 2018 edition will be rewarded concerto performance opportunity with the Taipei Philharmonic Youth Orchestra at the National Concert Hall Taipei (2064 seats) in 2019/2020 season. |
Concert Opportunity & Star Faculty ConcertThere will be the star faculty concert during the festival where you will have a chance to see all of our international renowned professors and artists playing in the same concert!
Students in the category A will be performing in 5 Promising Star Concerts at the end of the festival. It's the great chance to grow, be seen and gain experience on the performing stage. |
